About Me

My photography journey began three years ago after suddenly losing my job at a software startup in Austin, Texas. I wasn't sure what was next. I knew it was time for a drastic change, I just wasn't entirely sure what that change would be.

The only camera I had was on my old iPhone, so I packed my phone and my camping gear and set out for a few days of solitude in nature to clear my mind.

I spent the next 3 days obsessively taking pictures of the. natural landscape, trying to capture the sense of wonder and awe I felt in nature in an image.

A road trip to the Olympic Peninsula in Washington state a few months later changed my life forever. Endless, awe-inspiring natural scenes were everywhere I looked. It was a photographer's playground. I was hooked.

I bought my first "real camera" off of a friend and set out to learn everything I could about landscape photography, driven by my obsessive desire to bottle awe in a photo.

3 years later landscape photography continues to be my passion, but I've had opportunities to work with local artists and shoot live music and events around the Peninsula. I've realized I'm just as passionate about shooting people doing what they love as I am about shooting sunsets on top of a summit.

Whether I'm shooting nature or a live show, my goal is always the same: capture moments that made me go "woah" and share them with others in hopes of making them go "woah" too.
